GENERAL INFO

Former organizers of the "Toronto Night Market", Power Unit has raised over $50,000 to donate to grass root non-profits across Toronto. The night market event has had the success of attracting more than 60,000 patrons in the span of 2 days.

This will be Power Unit's first year hosting Night It Up!, a newly established night market event in Toronto. However, with our thorough experience organizing the Toronto Night Market, there is no doubt Night It Up! will be one of the hottest outdoor events this Summer.

Night It Up! will encompass booths and performances catering to all senses - exotic delicacies from all over Asia, a plethora of home grown performing spectacles, merchandise booths selling novelty items and the quintessential game booths offered at traditional night markets all across Asia.

The multitude of multicultural performances includes bands, singers, dance groups and a variety of other musical sensations, portraying genres of pop/rock, indie rock, hip-pop, punk, and Asian rock. Also appearing on stage will be dynamic choreographed martial arts, contemporary vocalists and a variety of local talents showcasing their finest amongst an enthused audience.

Some items that ought be bring immediate attention are the fish balls drizzled in curry sauce from Hong Kong, Xin Jiang style flame-grilled lamb skewers seasoned with cumin and chilli, and Japanese takoyaki - fried dumpling stuffed with diced octopus, tempura, pickled ginger and green onion, topped with an exquisite sauce made of mayonnaise, okonomiyaki sauce, and katsuobushi (fish shavings). But the most distinctive delicacy of the night will have to be given to the infamous stinky tofu - the unofficial national snack food of Taiwan - as the deep-fried fermented tofu fills the air with its unique with the aroma, begging the attention of passersby.
