The CCYAA Sports Zone is an interactive multi-sport activity area featured at the 2011 Night It Up event (www.nightitup.com). With over 80,000 visitors expected, the CCYAA Sports Zone offers something for every sports fan:A mini Tennis court will be set up by Tennis Canada (www.tenniscanada.com) so that visitors will have a chance to show their stuff on the hardcourt and also learn from the pros. For the hockey fan, the Toronto Maple Leafs Mobile Fan Zone (www.leafsmobilefanzone.com) will give you a chance to step inside the Leafs locker room and experience the legends of Leafs past and present through an interactive display of authentic and rare one-of-a-kind Leafs memorabilia.A section of the Sports Zone will be dedicated to the fast rising sport of Mixed Martial Arts.
This includes Grant Brothers MMA (GSP’s training facility), Xyience (The official energy drink of the UFC), HeadRush and much more.
Fighters and Ring Girls who have participated in UFC, Strikeforce and Pride will visit for autograph and signing sessions.
As well, there will also be demonstrations and interactive seminars from the pros so stay tuned for announcements on scheduled appearances.
The Ontario Soccer Association and Toronto FC will be presenting “Play Soccer”, a 150 square-foot inflatable soccer area that includes an obstacle course, target range and enclosed soccer dome.
Oldies but Goodies:
Of course, the CCYAA Sports Zone wouldn’t be complete without the Ming Shin Memorial Midnight Madness 4-on-4 Streetball Classic, Midnight Spike Volleyball Tournament and the DJs from Marquee Media (DJ Glew, DJR2 and DJ Kid Zero).
