Come experience a variety of fusion ethnic foods such as Japanese crepes, shaved ice, and fried ice cream while perusing through merchandise booths and having fun at the game booths. With over 100 booths, you’ll be sure to find something both delectable and enjoyable.
55+ Live Stage Performances
As always Night it Up! will feature live performances from local and community talent. From musical performances to dance groups to bands, the NIU! stage will be packed with a variety of shows including food eating contests. Make sure you stop by to support community artists and aspiring local youths.
CCYAA Sports Zone
Here is your chance to get in the game! Visit the Sports Zone for interactive sports activities! Enjoy the food while participating in the excitement of the volleyball and basketball tournaments!
TCVA Volleyball
The Toronto Chinese Volleyball Association and CCYAA are proud to present the 1st Annual TCVA Concrete Classic at Night it Up!. This tournament will be a 9-man volleyball tournament.
Outdoor Movie Screening
Collaborating with Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival, there will be an outdoor movie screening on Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m. So grab your friends and your food, and enjoy a movie outdoors against the lively backdrop of Night It Up!
Paint-A-Thon
On Saturday, July 13, 2013, an ordinary outdoor parking lot turns into a mini arts village featuring communal painting, live entertainment and local artisans. Part of the profits from Paint-A-Thon would be donated to Second Harvest, and the balance will be used to fund Power Unit Youth Organization’s year-round youth development programs.On Sunday, Paint-A-Thon will feature a variety of activities to support this year’s beneficiary, Second Harvest. You’ll have a chance at photo ops with a life-size paper maché Hunger Squad, Second Harvest truck pulling, and activities in a game zone.
Food Trucks
Who says food trucks can’t be part of a night market? This year’s NIU! will once again feature food trucks! Have lobster roll from Buster’s Sea Cove, a pulled-pork poutine from Smoke’s Poutinerie, then cap it all off with dessert from Beavertails, Dairy Best Inc., Marble Slab, and Chilly Ribbons.
Scavenger Hunt
To add to the interactivity aspect of NIU!, there will be a scavenger hunt contest where you’ll be tasked to perform activities, post them on our social media pages to receive points. Points will then be used to discount items from the Night It Up! merchandise booth. So make your teams, and make sure you don’t miss out on NIU!’s first scavenger hunt!
OtherHalf Stem Cell Initiative
A long time partner of NIU!, the OtherHalf Stem Cell Initiative will have a booth and address the important issue of the lack Chinese stem cell donors in the global stem cell registry. Be sure to check out their booth to find out more information. You may be someone’s OtherHalf.
Second Harvest Truck Pull Race
This summer, Night It Up! challenges you to compete in our truck pulling race to raise funds for Second Harvest. Weighing 20,000 pounds, prepare to flex your muscles and unleash your inner superpower!
Mindzai Pop-Up Toy Workshop
Put your creativity to work by participating in our first pop-up toy workshop at Night It Up! in partnership with Mindzai Creative Shop. Design your very own vinyl toy with the assistance of Mindzai toy experts and bring home a personal masterpiece! Templates, markers, pencils, and paints will be provided for you. A grand prize will be given to the most creative design!
